I don’t know what realization you needed to encounter but you found it. This isn’t to say that what’s left to do will be any easy. Also I don’t know if you realized it yet but there will always be something to do. You will never be finished. So long as you’re alive, there is no rest for you in this world. Hey, perhaps in the next one. Leave that to when you’re dead though. In the meantime reignite that flame within. That desire to be more than you are now. That was always the goal was it not. Are you remembering why you started. You hated limits. Don’t go limiting yourself now. Sure one door closed for you but who cares. Open another one. If no doors open then make your own door, or bust it down with your own will. I don’t want to see you drop the way you were this week. I’m glad you didn’t let it stop you though. You remained yourself even when you were losing yourself.
In the meantime, reignite that flame within. That desire to be more than you are now. That was always the goal, was it not? Are you remembering why you started? You hated limits. This week hit you hard. Harder than most, I think. But look at you—you’re still here, still moving forward. Even when everything around you seemed like it was crumbling, you didn’t let yourself stay buried in the rubble. That’s something to hold onto. That’s a piece of yourself that you need to keep alive, no matter what comes next.
So take a moment to appreciate that you made it through. It wasn’t graceful, sure. It wasn’t pretty. But it was honest, and it was real. You remained yourself even when you were losing yourself. That’s not easy to do, you know? Most people don’t make it past that point. Most people let the world define them when they lose their grip. But you didn’t. You held on—barely, but you held on. And that’s why you’ll come out stronger.
Don’t look for rest where it doesn’t exist. Instead, look for strength in the struggle. Find meaning in the effort. You’ve seen what happens when you let yourself sink too low. You’ve seen how easy it is to lose momentum. But you’ve also seen what you’re capable of when you refuse to let go. That’s who you are. That’s who you’ve built yourself to be.
And now, here’s the beauty of it all: you’re still building. Every moment, every challenge, every loss—it’s all part of the construction. You’re not finished, and you never will be. That’s the point. You get to keep going. You get to keep growing. And that’s what makes it all worth it.
