The minute I wake up
There’s a thought waiting for me
It tells me to wait
All it wants is for me to wait

That or it’s lazy
Either way, I know it’s coming
So I’m not caught by surprise
I can decide to respond differently
Each day I beat it
My will grows
Making it easier to beat next time
Because there’s always a next time
Change isn’t a thought
Change is a decision
Action follows decision
If not, it’s downgraded
Back into a thought
