You’re already here don’t start throwing a mental fit. Find small things you can enjoy during your time here and don’t let anything drag you down. At the very least just remain indifferent to the whole thing. I’m trying to make a winner out of you. You have to first install all these ways of behaving. Especially when you’re doing things you don’t want to do. It’s how you do what you have to do, it’s how you end up doing everything. So do me a favor now and enjoy today. It’s going to be shitty. You’re going to have a million things that you hate happen, it’s all fine. Enjoy them all. Time will fly and this too shall pass. Something new will take its place and all of this will be like a fog in your memory. If you’re not even going to remember it anyway you might as well not care about it.
Let go of the resistance. It’s not going to change what’s in front of you. The only thing you have control over is how you move through it. You can fight it all day, complain in your head, wish you were somewhere else—but that just makes the time crawl. Instead, step into it. Take a deep breath and stop resisting. Everything happening now is just a small moment in the grand scheme of your life. It won’t last. You know that already.
So why not move through it with a little grace? Why not meet it with some patience, some quiet confidence that you can handle anything? You’re already here. You’re already doing it. You might as well give yourself the mental space to get through it without making it harder than it has to be.
The difference between a good day and a bad day is just perspective. Nothing more. The world moves the same, the clock keeps ticking at the same pace. The only thing that shifts is how you decide to approach it. You have the power to make this easier on yourself. You always do. So do it. Breathe, focus, and handle your business. Then, when it’s all over, you can look back and know you stayed in control.
