Just another day now. Another day of this routine you’ve grown so accustomed to. It’s become like a part of us. I’m going to miss it a bit next year. Things will change, it won’t be as hard in the way it is now. Other things will grow in difficulty but this will finally slow down to a reasonable request. An easy enough access to completion. You’re still not at that part yet, don’t say goodbye until it’s done. You have to continue to move forward. Don’t waste this time you have left with this routine thinking about something other than what you do. Be all in what you’re doing. Focus on the movements. Focus on the feeling it brings out of you. The feeling you feel before it’s done and then after it’s done. You won’t have the same means for a feeling of accomplishment next year. You’ll have to find that feeling in other things. Use the feelings you know now as a base for next year. As a guide to find that accomplishment within again in other aspects of your life, not just this routine.
This routine, as grueling as it’s been, has shaped you in ways you won’t fully understand until it’s over. Every movement, every rep, every moment of struggle—it’s all been a lesson. A lesson in discipline, in resilience, in finding pride in the work, no matter how small or repetitive it may seem. This isn’t just about the physical effort; it’s about the mindset. The ability to stay present, to push through, to finish what you start. That’s what you’ll take with you. That’s what will stay.
You’ve built something here, something that won’t disappear when the routine ends. The structure, the determination, the drive—it’s all part of who you are now. And while the routine itself will fade, its impact will not. You’ll carry it into the new challenges, the new routines, the new difficulties that lie ahead. Because if you can handle this, you can handle what’s next. You’ve proven that to yourself time and time again.
But for now, stay here. Stay in this moment. Don’t let your mind drift to what’s coming next. There’s still work to be done, still time to savor what this routine has given you. Feel the burn, the strain, the exhaustion, and know that these are the things that have brought you this far. These are the things that have made you stronger. Don’t rush through it—live it. Appreciate it for what it is, because soon it will be gone, and you’ll look back on these days with a sense of pride and maybe even a little longing.
When it’s all said and done, you’ll look at this year, at this routine, and know that it was worth it. That it wasn’t just about the results, but about the journey. And when the time comes to find that sense of accomplishment in other parts of your life, you’ll know where to start. You’ll know how to dig deep, how to build something from the ground up, how to stay consistent even when it feels impossible. That’s what this routine has given you, and that’s what you’ll take with you.
