The Void Adventure

This mornings mindset is a byproduct
A byproduct of many days adapting
Of training when you didn’t want to.
Not just when you didn’t want to
Also, exactly when you told yourself to.
There was no pleading
No deal making
You didn’t say you’d do it later.
There’s a new saying you’ve adopted now
I’ll do it now so I don’t have to do it later.
So you’ve managed to do just that
This doesn’t mean you’re clear from the pull
The pull of old habits and old mindsets.
Be wary because it attacks quietly
When you’re not looking
When you drop your guard and get comfortable.
Never let a moment slip you by
One loss carry’s on and builds momentum.
Same way a win builds momentum positively.
Put your energy into the momentum you want.

This is where your discipline pays off. The moment when you can clearly feel the shift, the gap between who you were and who you are becoming. You’ve created a cycle of wins, of showing up regardless of how you felt. It’s this momentum that will carry you forward, that gives you an edge over your past self—the one who used to make excuses, delay, and let opportunities slip.

But remember, this new mindset is fragile, even though it feels solid now. You’ve built it, layer by layer, with every decision to act in the moment. Just because you’ve managed it doesn’t mean it can’t be undone. This discipline, this commitment to doing things when you say you will, is what will keep you ahead, but only if you keep nurturing it. Momentum, after all, works both ways. One slip, one decision to take it easy, can ripple through the rest of your day and weaken tomorrow.

That’s why you stay vigilant. That’s why you don’t rest on past victories, because every day is a new battlefield. The pull of old habits won’t go away—they’ll just hide better, waiting for a weak moment. Don’t give them the satisfaction. Every time you show up when it’s hard, when your body and mind try to convince you to take it easy, you’re not just winning that moment—you’re cementing this version of yourself, the one who’s in control, who acts without hesitation. So put everything into the direction you want your life to go. Your momentum is already moving you forward. Just don’t stop.
