It’s not lighter yet
As of right now you still have plenty to go
In your mind the reps left are many
So pushing the issue forward requires more
It requires more willpower than most.
Just watch though as you continue forward
With everything you knock out of the way
The will required to do more is less.
The weight of it all gets lighter
All because you’re leaving less to do later
By just doing it now, it goes away.
It only hurts for a moment
It’s only uncomfortable until it’s done
When it’s done it’s done and that’s that.
All you have to do is a little more
A little more to get you closer
A little more to make it lighter.
Go on and do it all over again.
That’s the secret, isn’t it? You’ve always known it deep down. It’s not about being perfect or avoiding discomfort. It’s about leaning into it, knowing that every rep, every push, is one less obstacle standing in your way. You’ve done it before, and you’ll do it again. The discomfort? Temporary. The feeling of lightness, of completion? That’s what stays. The satisfaction doesn’t come from thinking about it—it comes from the action, the movement, the relentless forward progress.
Today might feel heavy, sure, but remember that heaviness is just a sign of progress. Each time you face that weight and choose to push against it, you prove to yourself that you’re capable of more. And each push makes the next one lighter. Soon enough, you’ll look back and wonder how it ever felt so hard. You’ll wonder why you doubted your ability to push through, because by then, it will feel natural. It will feel right.
So, keep going. Not for the reward that comes at the end, but because the process itself is the reward. The struggle is what shapes you, and every time you choose to fight back, you strengthen your will. You’re not just moving weight—you’re moving yourself closer to the person you’re becoming. The weight is lighter because you are stronger. And you’ll always be able to carry more than you think.
