Copying The Future…

I’m here today
but I’m not really here
I’ll do the work
but my mind won’t be home
I’ll be moving forward
I’ll be living in the future
In the moment where I do it
where I become him
So I walk today as him
He is ahead of me now
I follow the trail he leaves
He leaves a trail
With his actions
With how he carries himself
All I do is follow
Do what he does
what he would
Copy his reaction to doing it
I release myself of the past
by trading in my present for the future
