The Void Adventure

If I get caught up in tomorrow
I’ll find myself falling into a hole
A hole of thoughts.
Thoughts that make the things I do
That much harder to do.
Thoughts like the accumulation of everything
Of every rep that I’ll do
For the foreseeable future and more.
In reality all I’m really doing is today
Right now is all there is to do
Tomorrow will come and I’ll let me do it then
The me of tomorrow is built today.
If I do everything I need to do today
Then I won’t have to worry about tomorrow
I’ll be the person I need to be.
That person will be capable of doing it again
The cycle carry’s on and on
A continuation of improvements that never ends.

When you allow yourself to be consumed by thoughts of tomorrow, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. The weight of all the tasks, all the reps, all the challenges yet to come can feel like an insurmountable burden. This kind of thinking can paralyze you, making even the simplest tasks seem daunting. But the truth is, tomorrow isn’t here yet. It’s just a concept—a place in your mind where worries and anxieties gather, waiting to trip you up. The key is to bring yourself back to the present, to focus on what needs to be done today, right now.

By honing in on today, you simplify your reality. The future is shaped by the actions you take now, not by the worries you entertain about what might happen. Each rep, each step you take today, builds the foundation for tomorrow. When you do everything you need to do today, you’re setting yourself up for success. You’re ensuring that the version of yourself that wakes up tomorrow is stronger, more capable, and ready to take on whatever comes next.

This approach creates a positive feedback loop. When you focus on today, you complete your tasks with a sense of purpose and clarity. This, in turn, boosts your confidence and prepares you for the challenges of tomorrow. You start to see that the cycle of improvement is self-sustaining. Each day builds on the last, and as long as you keep showing up, keep putting in the work, the results will follow.

The beauty of this mindset is that it eliminates unnecessary stress. You no longer have to worry about what’s coming because you trust yourself to handle it when it arrives. You know that the you of tomorrow will be ready because the you of today is doing the work. This creates a sense of peace and stability, a feeling that you’re on the right path, and that progress is inevitable.

It’s also a powerful motivator. When you realize that each day is an opportunity to build the future you want, you’re less likely to procrastinate or shy away from challenges. You understand that today’s efforts are an investment in tomorrow’s success. This shifts your perspective, making it easier to push through tough moments, knowing that they’re part of a larger process of growth and self-improvement.

In the end, the goal isn’t just to get through today, but to use today as a stepping stone to becoming the best version of yourself. It’s about embracing the journey, knowing that each day brings you closer to your goals. So don’t let thoughts of tomorrow derail you. Stay grounded in the present, focus on what you can do now, and trust that by doing so, you’re creating a future that’s not just manageable, but full of potential.
