Man do I not feel it today. I keep on doing more but the weight of them doesn’t seem to get any lighter. It’s the opposite today, they get heavier. Heavier and heavier. To the point where I don’t know how long this will take me. Why should I care how long it takes though. It will be done, however long it ends up taking me. Length, duration. They don’t matter to me. It’s just getting them done. That’s all that matters. Pick a number and hit it. Then go on to the next thing. Keep that going until you are able to look up and see that you’re all done. Nobody cares right now. Nobody cares if you don’t feel like it. If you don’t want to do it. Nobody cares if you don’t do it, or if you do it. As long as you care to get it done that’s all that matters. Care for yourself here. Do it again.
You’ve come too far to let a day like this stop you. It’s not about feeling it every time, it’s about showing up regardless of how you feel. These tough days, when everything seems heavier, are the ones that count the most. Anyone can push through when it feels easy, but it’s on the days when it feels impossible that you build something deeper. So what if it’s slow today? That’s not the point. The point is that you keep going, no matter the weight, no matter the time.
What matters is consistency. It’s the days like today that test whether you’re serious about the goals you’ve set. If you can grind through when the motivation isn’t there, when every rep feels like it’s pulling more out of you than it should, then you’ve already won. You’ve already proven that nothing can stop you. Not your mind, not the weight, not the doubt creeping in.
Don’t wait for some magical moment when it all clicks. You’re in the trenches now, and that’s where the work happens. Keep your head down, don’t give space to second thoughts, and finish it. Because at the end of the day, the only thing that will matter is that you did it. Whether it felt good or bad won’t matter. What will matter is that you didn’t let yourself down.
