Took myself down a rabbit hole
Wanted to see where I emerged
At what point did I come to be
I thought it was recent
I swore it hasn’t been long
Discovered I was well off
For years now
Years I’ve been here
I’ve been working on it
Little by little I kept growing
The core was there though
I built around the core
All I’ve done is enhance
Enhance the good parts
Tore down the bad parts
That and I kept moving forward
No matter what happened
So I emerged a product of myself
Not a product of my environment
