The Void Adventure

Do you remember all that time alone
You’re not alone anymore
Here you’ve grown used to company.
Can you still be alone like you used to?
Before you didn’t have a choice though
Well you did have a choice
For your growth however you had no choice.
In order to grow you had to plant yourself
You had to feel that isolation.
Now that you’ve seen that solitude
You can better appreciate company.
You can get closer to god
Through actions not words.
It all feels more real
You only grow more into yourself.
Oddly enough that comes with the company.
Others bring out more of the real you.
The solitude was the pre requisite.

Solitude can be a powerful teacher, forcing us to confront our innermost thoughts and fears. During those times of isolation, you were stripped of distractions, left alone to face the raw reality of who you were. It was uncomfortable, even painful at times, but it was necessary. That solitude planted the seeds of your growth, allowing you to take root in your true self. Without that period of isolation, you might not have understood the depth of your own strength and resilience.

Now, with the presence of others, you’re in a different phase of your journey. The company you keep allows you to express parts of yourself that solitude could never touch. It’s through your interactions with others that you begin to see different facets of your personality, layers that were hidden in the quiet moments of solitude. The connections you build now are rooted in the self-discovery you achieved during your time alone.

But solitude wasn’t just about being alone; it was about preparing you for this very moment. It taught you the value of your own company, making you more discerning about who you allow into your life. You’re not just seeking companionship; you’re seeking connections that reflect the person you’ve become, that align with the deeper understanding of yourself that you gained in solitude.

In this way, solitude and company are not opposites, but complements. The time you spent alone gave you the clarity to understand what you need from others and what you can give in return. Now, with people around you, you continue to grow, not away from your true self, but deeper into it. The presence of others doesn’t dilute who you are; it enhances it, bringing out aspects of your personality that were lying dormant.

So, embrace both solitude and company. Each has its place in your journey. The solitude was necessary to find yourself, and the company is necessary to bring that self to life. It’s in the balance of these two that you’ll continue to grow, not just as an individual, but as a more complete, authentic version of yourself.
