The Void Adventure

All this week I’ll be vacationing in Mexico. I’ll be able to rest for a full week. In order to allow myself this rest however I needed to make sure that I worked out for the full week I’ll be resting in the weeks prior. This meant writings too. Everything that I do every single week needs to be done before I leave to Mexico so that I can fully shut off and relax. This is the price I pay in order to remain myself. This is what it takes. Adapting to every situation and finding whatever way you can to make sure that you don’t lose yourself to the rhythm of the world. You instead dance with it.

All this extra work was to make sure I wouldn’t have to think about anything while I’m out there. There’s something liberating about knowing that when I land, I don’t have to rush into a new to-do list. That when I close my eyes on the beach, the only things on my mind will be the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. Every drop of sweat, every early morning, every sacrifice was so I could feel this kind of peace. This is what I’ve earned. This is what all the effort was for.

But make no mistake, just because I’m out here to rest doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten what it takes to keep the momentum going. I’ve trained my mind and body to adapt, to never truly stop, even when I’m stepping away from the routine. It’s not about neglecting everything but knowing when to rest and when to go all in. Because when this week ends, I’ll be back in it, stronger for having given myself the time to recover and reset.

In the end, this rest will fuel the next push, the next set of goals. Every bit of relaxation I earn here will transform into energy when it’s time to step back into my world. I’m not escaping anything. I’m preparing to come back better, sharper, and hungrier for the challenges waiting ahead. Rest is part of the process, and I’ll take every moment of it seriously, just as I do everything else.
